Scouts (10.5-14)

Scouts are the original, and arguably the best section for girls and boys aged 10½ to 14 years old. Scouts try new things, setting out on their adventures and taking part in over 200 different activities.

Young people can become a Scout at around 10½ years old.

They’re starting to take the lead on their own adventures, building their camps or leading their activities. It’s also a chance to enjoy new activities, adventures abroad and their choice of the skills they learn for life.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
