Explorer Scouts

Explorer Scouts are the penultimate section for young people aged 14 to 18 years old. Explorers create their own programme, choosing their activities and are prepared for their future, wherever it may take them.

Young people can become an Explorer Scout shortly before 14 years old.

What can you expect from Explorers? How about trying new things like walking in the hills to camping in other countries, exploring more adventurous places. All while they build the skills for that application, interview and life in general.

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
