County AGM

Date: 19th Sep 2024 Author: Mark Eastman
On Tuesday the County gathered for our AGM. We also welcomed Surrey Scout County lead volunteering, Sussex Guide commissioners and Civic Dignities from around the county who joined us.
Apart from the standard business we had a presentation from members of the two patrols from the county who attended Roverway 2024. We also recognised 25 years of volunteering by Gregers Young, our D of E advisor.
HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
