The activities team at Gilwell, after many comments and complaints have decided to review the latest factsheet ( FS 120620 ) on swimming rules.
The advice they give however is that the rules as presently written in POR remain in place and must be followed.
I would advise that if any section is planning any type of activity in or near water they should first read the relevent sections of POR ( Rules 9:42 and 9:48 to 9:52) which can be found on Scoutbase.
