Showtime 07 | |
The Billingshurst Group show, comprising boys, girls, youth and adults in the Scouting and Girlguiding associations has been a biennial event since 1983, although shows were performed in 1979,1980 and 1981.
The aim of Showtime '07 is to provide a format in which boys and girls, leaders and the other adult supporters can work together as a team for 6 months to do their best to produce an acceptable performance for the public every other year during the February half term holiday

In so doing Scouting and Guiding are promoted and the youngsters in particular are suitably rewarded by having an opportunity to exercise their sometimes hidden talents before an appreciative audience. It should be noted that all who wish to be involved are included in the show and an appropriate slot provided for each prospective entertainer. Many are first timers experiencing their first performance on any stage.

The result of the show is seen in the successful way that Scouting and Guiding in Billingshurst co-exist and is reflected in the other events which bring the two associations together at the mixed Petworth and Pulborough District events. In particular the annual Petworth Park camp over the May Day bank holiday and the Ardingly WS camps every four years
