Programme Support - Encouraging and Extending Scouting
Programme Support is there to encourage and extend Scouting building on the weekly meetings and programmes. It takes many forms but all have the common aim of supporting the structured programme delivered in, around and out of the weekly meetings held throughout the groups in the County.

Health and Safety |
Health & Safety crosses all boundaries. Scouters are encouraged to achieve and maintain a current first aid qualification relevant to the activities undertaken.
In addition risk assessments are regularly carried out, not only for expeditions and adventurous activities but also for the weekly meeting place.
HM Government Guidelines for fire safety have been issued.
All groups must abide by these regulations which come into force in October 2006. For more information on carrying out a fire safety risk assessment go to www.firesafetyguides.communities.gov.uk for straightforward advice on how to proceed. |
