Jungle Fever 2006

Arriving at the South of England Showground on the 11th May with a car packed to the rafters it dawned on me that 18 months of planning was about to become  a reality.

By the end of that Thursday the sub camps were taking shape, leaders and staff were arriving and Jungle Fever hit West Sussex .

Over 2,000 Cub Scouts, Leaders and staff moved into the South of England Showground for a weekend of fun to celebrate the 90th birthday of Cub Scouting

There was something there for everyone.  New, along with tried and tested activities

Straw caving, shooting, archery, inflatables, mobile farm, magic show and crafts to name but a few.

The Jungle Trail proved to be very popular.  It always amazes me where the leaders get the ideas from to put on the fabulous subcamp activities.

All too soon the closing ceremony was upon us.
All that planning over in the blink of any eye.

Was it worth it?  You bet, because the happy, tired, smiling cub faces that left the site on Sunday afternoon made it all worth while.
