Safeguarding Awareness Co-ordinator

West Sussex Scouts are seeking to appoint a second volunteer to the role of Safeguarding Awareness Co-ordinator to provide support to adults across the county in this key area of work.
 
Working in partnership with the existing co-ordinator you will provide advice, effective support and training in safeguarding issues to adults in accordance with The Scout Association's policies.
 
You will need to be able to communicate clearly, consider complex and possibly emotive situations in a calm and reasoned manner. A working knowledge of the process of Safeguarding (Child Protection) is desired, however training will be provided.
