International Awards / Badges to work towards whilst doing international activities.
Every section in the movement can take
 part in international activities
For the whole group there are the Environment and International Group Awards

Environment Group Award

The Environment Group Award is similar to both the Faith Group Award and the International Group Award as it is aimed at bringing a Scout Group together and to encourage friendship and links whilst helping the environment.
The Group Environment Award opens up new horizons in the Programme for all Sections, and can be worked towards at the same time as Global Challenges.

The aims of the Environment Group Award are to:
· promote environmental activities for each Section and projects for Explorer Scouts and the Scout Network
· promote activities between the Sections
· support the environmental focus in the Programme
· ensure there is a positive influence on everyone taking part and
· have a long-term benefit.
With this Award there is an opportunity to be involved with organizations and agencies such as the RSPB and the WWF.

International Group Award

The International Group Award (formerly known as the International Friendship Award) is about developing friendships, but not just international ones! Its aim is to bring a Group together to encourage friendship and links, both internally and internationally. By working together on this Award, everyone will grow in understanding and respect for each other. They will also make new friends and find out about people living in other countries.

EXPLORER BELT
For the Explorers and Scout Network why not take up the challenge of the EXPLORER BELT: -
………..a quote from Scoutbase about the award ……..

The Explorer Belt is the challenge of a lifetime, which is open to Explorer Scouts aged over 16 and members of the Scout Network. It is a chance to take part in a ten-day expedition that brings a real understanding of a different country, its people and way of life.
The Explorer belt is sometimes described as 'the antidote to the package holiday'. It is designed to help young people develop a real understanding of another country by travelling through that country, completing surprise projects, working as a small team and meeting local people.
