West Sussex Scouts - Fundraising

Fundraising is something that (almost) all groups have to get involved in. As well as the local activities of race nights, sponsored silences and many, many local run schemes there are also wider opportunities including grants that often are not well publicised.

There is also support from Scout HQ to identify various schemes, factsheets and links on where to seek advice or applications.

This page lists a number of items of interest to fundraisers and those seeking grants and will be added to as information becomes available. If you know of schemes that should be included please email webmaster@westsussexscouts.org.uk to have items included.

Headquarters Funds

There are several funds available from Headquarters. For further information and to request an application form please contact the Fundraising Department at Gilwell Park by telephoning the Information Centre on 0845 300 1818.

Loans

Capital loans are available to Groups, Districts and Counties/Areas towards the capital cost of providing land or buildings. These are available up to a maximum of £50,000 and will be repayable over a maximum 10 year period.

Please note:- All applications for Grant Aid needs the approval of the District Chairman, on behalf of the District Scout Council and the approval of the County Commissioner - This will normally be dealt with by the County Grant Aid Advisor.
