 2006 marks the celebration of 90 years of Cub Scouting and West Sussex Cub Scouts are celebrating it with a Jungle Fever camp. To keep up the tradition of all special camps a commerarative badge has been designed. The Funky Monkey badge, shown here has been adapted from a design from a member of the 1st Sullington & Storrington Cub Scout Pack. The badge, together with the National badge, will be worn on the uniform from the camp right through until the end of 2006. The winning Cub Scout designer will share the honour of opening the Jungle Fever camp. The competition judge was impressed by the high standard of all the badge designs. All the entries for the badge competition will be on display at the camp.
There will also be a camp blanket badge which will be avaialble for all the Cub Scouts who complete the Jungle Trail whilst at camp. It was adapted from two designs entered by Cub Scouts of the 12th Chichester Cub Scout Pack.
