Cub Scouts Challenged at Littlehampton
Bognor, Worthing and Arundel and Littlehampton Districts put on one of the best challenges we've had for ages.
Held at Littlehampton teams from around the County met on the green.
The weather turned out to be very sunny and hot, with a very strong wind.
After having the rules for the day explained the teams took their places on the beach, only plastic buckets and spades could be used.

The sandcastles started to evolve, with turrets and flags ,some young cub tried to keep the moats filled with water, with extending trips to collect water from the receding sea.

As well as making the sandcastles each team had to make something that symbolised the Olympics. One of the judges, commented that the teams had some fantastic ideas.
The Olympic rings proved to be very popular. the use of anything found on the beach meant that pebbles and sea weed were widely used as they were easy to find with some Cubs searching for lolly sticks and decorative shells.

When all had finished we went back into our teams to take part in some Olympic type challenges a sack race and dressing up relay proved great fun with a great amount of concentration needed to get a good score in the target hoops

At the end of the day the points were added up. Arundel & Littlehampton came out on top. Well done to all in A&L.

Medals were handed out to first and second place with certificates to all teams that took part.

Well done to all who took part in this new challenge, but most of all thanks to all who worked so hard to make this such a fantastic day.
